1. I started knitting this week.
2. Knitting and crocheting are not the same things. Don't ever say that they are.
3. I am not an old lady. (Not that there is anything wrong with being an old lady, old ladies can be totally awesome, but that's not me . . . yet.)
4. Of course, I do have a big "milestone" birthday coming up next week. Can you guess which?
5. Catherine (3) wanted me to teach her how to crochet this week. I let her play with a hook and yarn. She made some lovely knots.
6. This won't be me (or Catherine!):
7. Leading up to Christmas I will have a handful of fun giveaways on this blog (and there will be lots over at Giveaways Galore), here is one with a $100 Amazon Gift Card Prize.

I think it's great that your knitting....not an old lady at all!
ReplyDeleteI had the urge to knit this week; must have had something to do with some book I read. Anyway I don't own knitting needles and the only things I ever learned to do were cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. I couldn't read a knitting pattern if my life depended on it and can't knit anything other than a rectangle. Well, I saw some wooden skewers in the kitchen and I had some yarn. I knitted a few rows, got some splinters in my fingers and then realized that I didn't remember how to cast off. Oh well, I just unraveled everything and put it away until the urge strikes again.
